The Maine NVC Network envisions
- a world
in which people meet their needs in peaceful and healthy ways.
- a world
in which people live in
balance
- with one another
- with their environment
- and with other species.
Mission
The Maine NVC Network works to bring Nonviolent Communication (as developed by
Marshal Rosenberg) to Maine. We intend to bring this
life-enriching form for
communication to people all around our communities, including:
- community
organizations
- governmental agencies
- schools and home-schoolers
- parenting and childcare groups
- for-profit and not-for-profit businesses
- health, therapeutic and correctional institutions
- professional associations
- religious and spiritual communities
Aim
The Maine NVC Network aims to:
- offer talks and presentations about NVC
- teach NVC workshops
- organize workshops for other trainers who have something to offer our
communities
- act as a clearinghouse for NVC information within our state and the
surrounding regions
- serve as a resource for NVC study and practice groups
I will give you a talisman ...Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen
and ask yourself if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him. - Mahatma Gandhi |
